The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearson tries for a takedown but Lewis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck for Pearson with that takedown attempt.
Pearson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pearson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Pearson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lewis because Pearson loaded up on that one.
Pearson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pearson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lewis has left one of his arms exposed and Pearson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Lewis screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
