Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Mercury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and INERTE BASURA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mercury might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Queen - Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy. Eddie Mercury could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to INERTE BASURA's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eddie Mercury! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, INERTE BASURA! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mercury scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. BASURA tries to get to full guard but Mercury has control of the leg. BASURA is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. BASURA tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Mercury prevents BASURA from improving his position. BASURA taking some punishment here, with Mercury in his half guard. BASURA pushes Mercury off looking to stand but Mercury dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mercury scores with a nice right hand.

BASURA is looking to control Mercury's arms but Mercury gets an underhook and turns him. Now BASURA has his back to the cage. Mercury jumps guard and drags BASURA to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Mercury lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for BASURA! Mercury is in the full mount, landing strikes. BASURA in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. BASURA throwing hammer fists to the chest of Mercury. What's that going to do exactly? Mercury punishing his opponent with strikes.

It looks like INERTE BASURA has been cut. Mercury takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. BASURA is still in real trouble! Can Mercury finish him?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. BASURA taking shots to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mercury content just to control the position here. BASURA is desperately trying to improve his position but Mercury has a good base and remains in mount. BASURA looks gassed!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mercury prevents BASURA from getting the reversal. Mercury has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. BASURA tries to lock up and control but Mercury gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. BASURA is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mercury lands a big elbow. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mercury cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mercury unloading with bombs! Mercury has hold of BASURA's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and BASURA manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Mercury tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mercury landing strikes from the mount and BASURA is in trouble! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eddie Mercury dominated that round. The cut man is working on INERTE BASURA's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
BASURA slips under a jab. Mercury cracks BASURA with an uppercut from hell and BASURA crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Mercury's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Mercury has gone for a leg lock! BASURA slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mercury's guard. BASURA is in close to Mercury's body, working some short punches and elbows. Mercury is looking to sweep but instead, BASURA has passed into half guard.
BASURA seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mercury manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Mercury lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for BASURA! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mercury looking to finish BASURA with some ground and pound. This is bad for BASURA!

BASURA is trying to maintain the position but Mercury is very close to passing his half guard. Mercury uses his free foot to push down on BASURA's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for BASURA. BASURA is trying desperately to improve position. Mercury in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mercury sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! BASURA flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
