Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stiff Bonnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevens comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. James Stevens has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens misses with a double jab.
Stevens throws a sloppy head kick and Bonnar moves out of range easily.
Bonnar fails to land the takedown.
Bonnar tries for a takedown but Stevens sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bonnar swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Stevens counters by moving into the clinch.
Stevens is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Bonnar has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stevens is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
James Stevens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stiff Bonnar.

Bonnar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bonnar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stevens looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stevens wants to get back to full guard but Bonnar has passed into side control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stevens is stalling here. Bonnar is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Stevens seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bonnar has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Stevens throws a leg kick but Bonnar moved away.

and Bonnar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stevens's guard.
Stevens wants to stand but Bonnar is controlling the position.

Stevens tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bonnar paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Stevens looks to land a left hand but Bonnar moved out of range nicely.

Bonnar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bonnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
