Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stu Diat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Me Against The World. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Diat wants a takedown.
Smith stops a takedown attempt from Diat.
Smith prevents the takedown attempt.
Jason Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stu Diat.

Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Diat drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.

Smith has Diat pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Smith pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Diat tumbling to the mat - Smith dives into Diat's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Diat shoots in and drives through. Smith sprawls well.
Smith tries to bum rush Diat with a series of wild strikes but Diat uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Smith darts in and clinches Diat up against the cage.

Smith pulls Diat into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diat has gone for a leg lock! Smith slips out almost immediately though and dives into Diat's guard.
Diat wants to stand up but Smith is controlling him.

Diat keeping full guard, as Smith tries to pass.
Smith not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Smith is standing up over Diat. Diat looks to escape but Smith dives into side control.

Smith decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Smith throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Diat shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.

Smith shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Smith showed some decent athleticism there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diat knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Smith decides to stand and escape the position.

Smith misses with a head kick.
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Diat fails with an attempt to clinch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Smith.
Diat shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Smith counters with a left right combination that sends Diat crashing to the mat - Smith wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Diat out for a TKO! Devastating finish!

Jason Smith decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
