The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worley looks to land a combination but Mendonca avoids it well.
Mendonca misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Worley clobbers Mendonca with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cody Worley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mendonca has managed to clinch.
Mendonca lands a nice elbow.
Mendonca tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mendonca wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Worley has Mendonca pressed against the cage, preventing Mendonca from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Oooooh!!! Worley has knocked Mendonca down with a huge combo! Worley steps away and waves a wobbly Mendonca back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

A big right followed by a crushing left from Worley knocks Mendonca out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
