PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Black Nurse by Glassjaw. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter throws a sloppy head kick
and Adams counters with a three punch combo that has Hunter backing up. Hunter nods at Adams to acknowledge the strikes.
Hunter pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Hunter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hunter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Hunter wants to control the pace but Adams is squirming around nicely.

Hunter throws a sloppy strike and Adams uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Adams has ended up in Hunter's guard.

Adams tries to keep at a distance but Hunter has taken the fight into the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Adams is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hunter is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Adams to the mat. Adams regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hunter has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Adams regains guard immediately.

Hunter throws a big elbow that misses.
Adams avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Adams is looking to control Hunter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Adams avoid being mounted?
Hunter uses his free foot to push down on Adams's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Adams.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Adams tries to lock up and control but Hunter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Hunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hunter postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Adams looks a forlorn figure.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hunter. Adams does a little dance to reset his feet.
