Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Askren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Landry!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landry rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Askren moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Landry decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Askren bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Landry's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Askren, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ben Askren opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
