Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Dugas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dugas has chosen Here Comes the Pain as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

No joy there for Dugas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dugas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dugas lands a jab to the nose.

Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Dugas moves out of range easily.

Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Dugas managing to block the knees to the body from Smith.
Dugas wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Smith has him pressed against the cage.

Dugas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith.

Dugas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smith.

Smith displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dugas throws out the jab.
Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dugas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smith closes the distance and pushes Dugas back into the cage.
Dugas is trying to push Smith away but Smith has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dugas is trying to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Smith dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Smith throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
John Smith is winning the standup battle so far.
Dugas takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Dugas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dugas throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.
Smith throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dugas's head.


It looks like Marc Dugas has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smith takes the fight into the clinch.
Smith prevents Dugas from breaking the clinch.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Come on Smith - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Dugas can't break the clinch.

Smith breaks from the clinch.

Dugas misses with a double jab.
Dugas misses with a few strikes there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Smith looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dugas lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dugas.

Dugas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
John Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dugas misses with a few strikes there.
Smith misses with a body shot
and Dugas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Smith lands a high kick!


Dugas is rocked!
Are you kidding me?! Smith ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Dugas clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Smith!
John Smith really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Ironhand Fightwear (Everything $9.00 or less!) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
