The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Threadgood throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Aus has eaten all the pies!
Aus takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Feid Aus has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aus shoots in for a double leg but Threadgood sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Aus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Threadgood's waist but Threadgood gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aus off to one side.

Aus dives in and scores a takedown into Threadgood's guard.

Threadgood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aus on the ground.

Threadgood takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Buddy Threadgood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Feid Aus.

Oooooh!!! Threadgood has knocked Aus down with a huge combo! Threadgood steps away and waves a wobbly Aus back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That has opened up Feid Aus's cut even more.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aus uses his free foot to push down on Threadgood's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Threadgood.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The cut above Feid Aus's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Threadgood is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aus is taking a breather. Threadgood says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Aus stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Threadgood to get to his feet.

Aus tries to move into range but Threadgood moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Aus moves in looking to clinch but Threadgood pushes him off.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Threadgood, as that shot connected.

Feid Aus's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Aus takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Threadgood throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Threadgood looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Threadgood throws a series of punches but Aus moves out of range.

Aus rushes Threadgood and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Aus taking a breather.

Aus tries a knee to the head but Threadgood blocks it.
Aus tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Threadgood just stands there and leans against the cage.
Threadgood stops a takedown attempt from Aus.
Aus tries to pull guard but Threadgood holds him up against the cage and eventually Aus drops back down to his feet.

Aus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Threadgood walks away with a smile on his face. Aus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Threadgood misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Aus avoids a punch combination nicely.
Aus takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Feid Aus's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Buddy Threadgood really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Ultimate Fighting Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
