Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko has chosen Fedor as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis throws a lazy right hand but Emelianenko sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ellis drops his shoulder and cracks Emelianenko with a huge uppercut! Emelianenko goes down! Can Ellis finish him?

It looks like Fedor Emelianenko has been cut.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ellis wants to stand and escape but Emelianenko is having none of it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ellis throws a head kick that misses

and Emelianenko counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Emelianenko wants to pass the guard but Ellis is keeping the position.
Ellis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Emelianenko is controlling him.
Emelianenko throws a strike but Ellis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ellis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Emelianenko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ellis's guard.
Emelianenko wants to control from the top but Ellis keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ellis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Emelianenko sprawling to the canvas! Emelianenko rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ellis finish him?!
This has been an exciting period of action!
