PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barich Fendsor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxence Laurentian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maxence Laurentian!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fendsor pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Fendsor avoids the body shot from Laurentian.
Fendsor will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fendsor looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Fendsor lands a high kick!
A combination from Laurentian does no damage.

Fendsor looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Laurentian is trying to control the position but Fendsor postures up.
Fendsor pushes down on Laurentian's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Fendsor uses his free foot to push down on Laurentian's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Laurentian.

Poor strikes thrown by Fendsor there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Fendsor jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Laurentian is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Laurentian and Fendsor has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Laurentian manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Laurentian is trying to control the action in half guard but Fendsor is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Fendsor has his foot on Laurentian's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Laurentian works his way back into a safe position though.

Fendsor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Laurentian doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Laurentian manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fendsor not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Laurentian stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fendsor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Laurentian postures up.

Fendsor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Laurentian gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Laurentian avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Fendsor is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Laurentian wants to pass the guard but Fendsor is keeping the position.
Fendsor tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Laurentian is looking to advance position but Fendsor won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laurentian seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Fendsor wants to control but Laurentian is keeping busy.
Fendsor is in trouble now - Laurentian has advanced to mount!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barich Fendsor dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Laurentian lands a big right hand that sends Fendsor crashing to the mat! Laurentian stays standing though and waves Fendsor back to his feet!

Fendsor is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Laurentian misses with an uppercut
and Fendsor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Oh Fendsor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fendsor leaves his chin hanging out and Laurentian seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Fendsor crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
