Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between New Tall Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Currier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Currier has chosen counting bodies like sheep as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Currier but Currier pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Guy closes the distance but Currier moves to the side
and Currier decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Guy's guard.
Currier trying to move into half guard but instead Guy has managed to sweep!
Currier trying to keep a closed guard but Guy is proving a slippery customer.
Guy trying to control the position from guard on top but Currier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Currier manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Guy manages to get himself to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Currier loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Currier trying to stand up but can't free himself from Guy's guard.
Currier throwing strikes from guard but Guy blocks nicely.
Currier lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Currier's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Guy has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Currier doesn't defend quickly enough and Guy has managed to lock this one up! Can Currier escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Guy on a fantastic submission victory.
