Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Nickolas Bryant!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marsh feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Marsh tries to free his leg and advance position but Bryant is retaining full guard.

Bryant is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marsh defends well.
Marsh pushes down on Bryant's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Marsh missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Marsh is pressing down on Bryant's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bryant is holding on for now.
Marsh works his way into side control.
Bryant is not content to let Marsh control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marsh throws a strike aimed at the side of Bryant's head but Bryant avoids it well.
Marsh tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Marsh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Marsh lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Marsh is looking to take a break and control but Bryant is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Marsh is chipping away with strikes.

Marsh wants to control but Bryant is keeping him busy.
Bryant gets back to half guard.
Marsh wants to take a breather but Bryant is having none of it.
Marsh is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Marsh trying to pass the guard but Bryant defending well.
Bryant keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Marsh is looking to advance position but Bryant won't allow it.
Marsh working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Marsh tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bryant knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Marsh is working hard here to advance position.
Bryant avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Marsh.
Marsh works his foot free and advances to mount.

It looks like Nickolas Bryant has been cut.
Marsh pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


That has opened up Nickolas Bryant's cut even more.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Marsh is landing with some decent strikes but Bryant is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Marsh wants to finish this one by submission but Bryant is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Marsh.

Bryant is working to get back to half guard.
Marsh looking to control but Bryant is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Bryant is bucking up trying to escape but Marsh cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


The cut above Nickolas Bryant's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Marsh raining down hammerfists from mount.


Nickolas Bryant's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Nickolas Bryant's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Randy Marsh!
An out of breath Randy Marsh thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
