Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Orourke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orourke blocks a head kick by Soares.
Soares works Orourke's body with a nice hook.
Orourke throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Soares bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Soares thows a body kick. Orourke tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Soares shoots in looking for a takedown. Orourke tries to sprawl out of it but Soares keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Orourke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Soares tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Orourke swivels and escapes.
Orourke blocks a head kick by Soares.
A jab lands there for Soares.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Orourke fails with a takedown attempt.
Orourke misses with an uppercut. Soares saw that one coming.
Soares slips a jab and a cross from Orourke.

Orourke closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Soares did well to prevent Orourke getting side control.
Orourke wants to pass to mount but Soares is defending the position.
Orourke is breathing heavily.
Soares is trying to control but can't.
Orourke prevents Soares from improving his position.
Soares wants to control but Orourke is keeping busy.
Soares wants to get back to full guard.
Soares has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Orourke is working away from the top position though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ivan Soares hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Orourke gets to his feet. Soares looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Soares throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Orourke's waist but Orourke gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Soares off to one side.
Soares throws a body punch but Orourke moves out of range.
Soares looks to land a combination but Orourke avoids it well.

Orourke misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Orourke is trying to control. Soares wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Soares avoids a wild elbow strike from Orourke.
Soares is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Orourke pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Soares is looking to break free of the clinch but Orourke has double underhooks.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Orourke wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Soares jumps guard but Orourke turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Jamie Orourke will probably get the nod.

Orourke isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Soares stacks Orourke on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Soares!

Orourke seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Soares is looking to improve his position.
Orourke wants to free his trapped foot but Soares is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Orourke keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Orourke looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Orourke is controlling the pace.
Soares is looking to improve his position.

Soares is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Soares makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Soares.
Orourke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Soares swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Orourke drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Orourke jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Orourke is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Orourke decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Soares shoots and misses

and Orourke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Soares's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Soares can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Orourke controls the pace.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Soares is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Orourke is controlling him.

Orourke is taking a breather. Soares says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Orourke, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
