And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brett Dongalletta!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doherty moves into the clinch.
Dongalletta keeps control of Doherty as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Doherty lands a body punch in the clinch.
Doherty is trying to break the clinch but Dongalletta is controlling him.

Doherty's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dongalletta tries to score a power double leg takedown but Doherty sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dongalletta somewhat.
Doherty shoots in but Dongalletta avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dongalletta shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Doherty as he jumps to the side.
Dongalletta shoots in looking for a takedown. Doherty tries to sprawl out of it but Dongalletta keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Doherty manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tyrone Doherty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Dongalletta.

Doherty is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dongalletta is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Doherty tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dongalletta paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Doherty tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dongalletta lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dongalletta.

Doherty shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dongalletta napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Dongalletta wants to control but Doherty postures up.

Doherty is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dongalletta is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Doherty postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dongalletta tries to buck Doherty off but Doherty is having none of it.
Doherty in side control, throwing shots but Dongalletta defends.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Brett Dongalletta will probably get the nod.
