Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Hanrahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Klaas & Bodybangers - Freak. Hanrahan has chosen Tyr - Ormurin Langi as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bubby Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Hanrahan.
Hanrahan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Brown counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Brown goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hanrahan has had enough of the clinch but Brown keeps him there for the moment.
Brown lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Brown manages to break the clinch.
Brown showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hanrahan.
Hanrahan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Brown counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hanrahan's guard now.
Hanrahan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brown controls the pace.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bubby Brown.
Brown has Hanrahan up against the cage in a clinch.
Brown gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hanrahan on his heels. He'll look to pass Hanrahan's guard now, I'm sure.

Brown sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hanrahan's guard.

Brown uses his free foot to push down on Hanrahan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hanrahan.
Hanrahan tries to lock up and control but Brown gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Hanrahan is looking to improve his position but Brown isn't that keen on the idea.
Brown could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hanrahan in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Brown tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hanrahan really wants to buck Brown off and get back to his feet.
Brown lands a big shot there that rocks Hanrahan but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brown is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hanrahan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hanrahan shrugs it off.

Brown connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Brown throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hanrahan was covering up waiting for the punch and Brown finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Brown takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Brown decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Brown dives in and scores a takedown into Hanrahan's guard.

Brown wants to pass the guard but Hanrahan is keeping the position.

Brown postures up and lands a big shot to Hanrahan's brow.

Hanrahan throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease.

Brown stands up over Hanrahan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Brown avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brown has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Brown gets to his feet - Hanrahan follows without any prompting.

Hanrahan tries to bum rush Brown with a series of wild strikes but Brown uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Hanrahan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Brown has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Hanrahan gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Brown manages to capitalize on a mistake by Hanrahan to take his back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brown is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hanrahan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hanrahan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Brown's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Bill Hanrahan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hanrahan is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Brown gets his way!

Well Brown has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
