The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hudson doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Summer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hudson won't be happy with that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Hudson shoots in but Summer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Summer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nova Summer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Hudson.

Summer working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Hudson is doing well to defend. Summer seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Hudson is forced to tap and this one is over!
