Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Stam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maximus has chosen Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brutus Maximus!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stam dodges the punch combination from Maximus.
Maximus throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Maximus tries to clinch up.

Stam rushes Maximus and presses him up against the cage.
Maximus fails to pull guard.
Stam lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Stam lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Brutus Maximus has been cut.
Stam is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Stam breaks from the clinch.
Maximus throws a combination that misses

and Stam moves into the clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for Stam.
Maximus looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice left hand lands by Stam.

Stam's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stam looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Stam moves into range and clinches up with Maximus.
Stam gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Stam lands an elbow inside.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stam breaks the clinch.

Stam darts in and clinches Maximus up against the cage.

Maximus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stam lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Stam lands a left hand that snaps the head of Maximus backwards.

Stam breaks the clinch.
Stam goes for a small jab and connects. Now Stam goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Maximus stumbles back but Stam runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Maximus to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Maximus will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
