Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zach Thirtythree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Byrne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thirtythree comes to the cage accompanied by Rebirthing,by:Skillet. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byrne feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Thirtythrees jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Thirtythree dives in and grabs Byrne's left leg, looking for a takedown. Byrne pushes down on Thirtythree's head and hops out.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Byrne - that will leave a mark!
Byrne stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Byrne wants it to stay on the feet.
Zach Thirtythree seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thirtythree looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Byrne is fending him off so far but Thirtythree persists. Nope, Byrne circles away and we're back to standing.

Byrne tries to buck Thirtythree off but Thirtythree is having none of it.

Byrne prevents Thirtythree from improving position.
The ground and pound from Thirtythree seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thirtythree creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Byrne sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Thirtythree wants to control but Byrne is keeping him busy.
Thirtythree tries to advance to mount but can't.

Byrne regains half guard, as Thirtythree was trying to land strikes.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Thirtythree is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Byrne!
Thirtythree thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Thirtythree avoids the attempt from Byrne to control.
Byrne is squirming around, avoiding Thirtythree's attempts to control the action.

Thirtythree goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Byrne turns into him and now he's in Thirtythree's guard.

Thirtythree has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Byrne is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Thirtythree.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Byrne lands a leg kick that knocks Thirtythree off balance momentarily.
Thirtythree has a takedown stuffed.
Thirtythree shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Byrne defends it nicely.
Byrne fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Thirtythree takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Byrne cracks a nice hook into Thirtythree's ribs.
Byrne fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thirtythree has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Byrne lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looks like Zach Thirtythree has been cut.
Byrne with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Byrne fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thirtythree has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Thirtythree loses concentration momentarily and Byrne pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Thirtythree crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Byrne finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

After winning the bout, David Byrne thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
