Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Decision Dom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Decision Dom!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dom avoids it really well and circles away.
Dom stuffs the takedown.
Dom misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rodriguez closes the distance and clinches up with Dom, looking for a takedown. Rodriguez pushes Dom against the cage but Dom circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Rodriguez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dom tries to clinch
and Rodriguez counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Decision Dom has been cut.
Dom closes the distance but Rodriguez moves to the side
and Rodriguez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dom dives in and grabs Rodriguez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rodriguez pushes down on Dom's head and hops out.

Rodriguez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rodriguez passes into half guard.

Rodriguez is looking for a kimura but Dom is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rodriguez to get the leverage.
Well, if Rodriguez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Rodriguez uses his free foot to push down on Dom's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dom.
Dom looks gassed!

Dom defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Rodriguez.

Rodriguez looking to secure an arm triangle but Dom defends it well.

Rodriguez has isolated one of Dom's arms. Dom looking to fight him off but Rodriguez twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
