Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Rhino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Kurosawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rhino comes into the arena with Glass to the Arson -- Anberlin blaring out of the sound system. Kurosawa has chosen War drums as his entrance music. Akira Kurosawa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhino misses with a low kick.

Rhino connects with a body shot that sends Kurosawa's belly button to the back.
Rhino throws a sloppy head kick and Kurosawa moves out of range easily.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kurosawa crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rhino - the referee stops the clock and Kurosawa gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rhino. Kurosawa manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The Rhino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akira Kurosawa.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rhino feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kurosawas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Rhino throws a hook but Kurosawa avoids it easily.

Rhino is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Kurosawa might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Rhino has got the better of the exchanges.

and Rhino counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rhino sizes up Kurosawa with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Kurosawa shoots in for a double leg but Rhino sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Kurosawa is stalling here. Rhino is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kurosawa seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rhino has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rhino decides to stand back up. Rhino steps back and let's Kurosawa get back to his feet.
Rhino does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Rhino's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kurosawa under the eye.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rhino will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That was a close second round but I would say that The Rhino will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kurosawa looks up at the clock. Bad move! Rhino lands a right hand from hell, dropping Kurosawa. Rhino pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

The Rhino retains his welterweight title!
A relieved looking The Rhino thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
