Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baz Karamba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nick Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baz Karamba!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karamba throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kim on the side of the head.


It looks like Nick Kim has been cut.
Kim tries to clinch but Karamba is having none of it.

Karamba has closed the distance and engaged Kim in a clinch.
Karamba is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kim is defending well for now.
Kim dodges an elbow strike from Karamba.
Kim blocks an elbow strike.
Karamba stalls.
Kim on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Karamba's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Karamba manages to break the clinch.
Karamba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Karamba tries to bum rush Kim with a series of wild strikes but Kim uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kim takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kim moves out of range as Karamba strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Karamba drives through with a takedown into Kim's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Karamba wants to control from the top but Kim keeps moving.

Kim looking for a guillotine here but Karamba defends easily.

Karamba gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kim fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Karamba bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Kim is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kim takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Karamba forces Kim back against the cage and clinches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Karamba manages to break the clinch.

Karamba has closed the distance and engaged Kim in a clinch.

Karamba breaks the clinch.
Karamba tests Kim's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Karamba is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Karamba swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Baz Karamba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kim tries to keep at a distance but Karamba has taken the fight into the clinch.

Karamba breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Karamba clinches up against the cage.
Karamba lands a right hand.
Karamba throws a head punch that misses.
Kim has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Karamba after a bit of a struggle.
Kim could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Karamba creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kim's defenses.
Karamba pushes Kim back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Karamba breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Karamba.

Karamba gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Karamba kicks Kim off and gets to his feet.
Kim has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kim there as he acknowledges the shot.
Karamba lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Karamba clinches.
Karamba pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Karamba breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Karamba looks to land a combination but Kim avoids it well.
Karamba has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Karamba looking to score a takedown here. Kim is defending well but Karamba drives through and ends up in Kim's guard.

Karamba gets to his feet. Kim looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Karamba gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Karamba breaks the clinch.

Karamba shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kim is refusing to be controlled, as Karamba sits in half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Karamba is controlling the pace.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Karamba trying to control from half guard but Kim is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Baz Karamba dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Nick Kim's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Karamba throws a series of strikes that have Kim backpedaling.

Karamba gets a clinch.

Kim wants the takedown. Karamba is fighting it off but Kim persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Karamba's guard against the cage.
Karamba wants to stand but Kim is controlling the position.
Kim is looking to advance position but Karamba has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Kim tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Karamba has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kim is trying to reverse the position but instead Karamba has taken his back - oops!
Karamba trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Karamba is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kim is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Kim controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Karamba tightening his grip on Kim, looking for the choke.

Karamba patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Karamba has his arm under Kim's chin here. Game over son! Karamba squeezes tightly and Kim is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Baz Karamba!
Baz Karamba very nearly forgot to thank Hilo Clothing Co amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
