Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nunca Subestime O Palmeiras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nunca Subestime O Palmeiras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James John!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

O Palmeiras looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for John!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
John controls the position.
John tries to buck O Palmeiras off but he can't manage it.

O Palmeiras looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
John is looking to get to half guard.

O Palmeiras jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… John is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by John and O Palmeiras has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
John can't do much from the bottom here.
John manages to work his way to half guard, despite O Palmeiras's best efforts.

O Palmeiras is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
John is trying to stand up here but O Palmeiras is controlling him well.

John sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
John wants to get back to his feet.
John is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
O Palmeiras wants to pass to mount but John is defending the position.

O Palmeiras is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. John doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time O Palmeiras.
John is trying to stand back up but O Palmeiras is controlling him

O Palmeiras moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, John has worked his arm free - good work by John!
John is trying to control O Palmeiras's posture but O Palmeiras avoids it.
O Palmeiras lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear John down.

John has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. O Palmeiras is working away from the top position though.

O Palmeiras wants to free his trapped foot but John is holding on for dear life with his legs.
James John has got the better of the ground game so far.

O Palmeiras is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and John defends it well.
John tries to roll over but O Palmeiras keeps him under control.

O Palmeiras is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and John reverses the position - he's now on top in O Palmeiras's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

O Palmeiras wants to sweep here but John controlling him for the moment.

John got a little sloppy there for a moment and O Palmeiras has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, John has managed to get both his arms back between O Palmeiras's legs - danger averted.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!



John shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than John was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

John gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

O Palmeiras closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

O Palmeiras working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

John might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control O Palmeiras kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

John is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
O Palmeiras wants to pass to mount but John is defending the position.

John kicks off O Palmeiras and gets to his feet.
O Palmeiras stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and O Palmeiras wants it to stay on the feet.
O Palmeiras tries to close the distance and clinch up but John swats him away and circles back towards the center.

O Palmeiras drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

John is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and O Palmeiras defends well.
O Palmeiras stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. John swivels though and keeps the full guard.
John pulls O Palmeiras in close to prevent any damage.

O Palmeiras thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
O Palmeiras postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
O Palmeiras trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but John manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
O Palmeiras is striking off his back. John thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
O Palmeiras is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to James John.
I think John has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
