The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carneiro misses with a takedown
and Lucas counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Lucas darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Carneiro takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Lucas darts in and clinches Carneiro up against the cage.
Lucas lands on the inside with an uppercut.

A nice left hand lands by Lucas.
Carneiro has Lucas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lucas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruno Carneiro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carneiro has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lucas after a bit of a struggle.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lucas takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Lucas's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Lucas lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Carneiro wants to take the fight to the mat but Lucas manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Carneiro is rocked!
Lucas lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Oh Carneiro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lucas unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Carneiro! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Lucas is unloading with more strikes now! Carneiro drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
