PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brett Dongalletta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Div Hynd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hynd is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by A7X - the beast and the harlot. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brett Dongalletta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Div Hynd!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dongalletta shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hynd as he avoids it easily.
Hynd throws a right hand that Dongalletta ducks under and follows up with a left that Dongalletta also avoids with ease.

Dongalletta shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dongalletta showed some decent athleticism there.
Hynd keeping control of the position.
Hynd wants to improve his position but Dongalletta is controlling well.
Dongalletta wants to pass to mount but Hynd is defending the position.
Dongalletta trying to control from half guard but Hynd is working away.

Dongalletta is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hynd is just riding it out for now. Dongalletta eventually gives up the hold.

Dongalletta is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hynd to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hynd shrugs it off.

Dongalletta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hynd's waist but Hynd gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dongalletta off to one side.

Hynd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dongalletta tries to avoid it but Hynd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dongalletta to the ground. Dongalletta escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hynd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dongalletta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brett Dongalletta.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dongalletta, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
