Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Dale Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Chankin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chankin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. medieval battle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Chankin throwing strikes from guard but Johnson blocks nicely.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Chankin from controlling successfully.
Johnson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Chankin has picked Johnson up and slammed him! Johnson can't keep hold of the triangle and Chankin manages to pass to side control!
Chankin tries to score with some ground and pound. Johnson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Johnson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as Chankin sits in half guard.
Chankin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Johnson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Johnson is looking for a sweep. Chankin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johnson.
Johnson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Chankin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get!
Chankin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Chankin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Johnson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Johnson tries to hold on but Chankin pushes him away.

Johnson is wriggling around trying to escape.

Chankin fails to move to back control.

Chankin tries to get up but Johnson was controlling his body and he's reversed into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chankin throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Chankin pushes Johnson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Chankin fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Chankin, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Chankin against the cage but Chankin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Johnson throws a solid leg kick but Chankin takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Johnson.
Johnson leaves Chankin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Johnson fails with the takedown.
Chankin shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Chankin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ricky Dale Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Chankin.
Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chankin circles away.
Chankin wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chankin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Chankin throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely.

Chankin won't allow Johnson to sweep him here.
Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chankin looking to improve position, pressing down on Johnson's thigh with his hand. Johnson seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Chankin paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Chankin's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Johnson picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
