Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lawrence Cohen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Drennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cohen comes to the cage accompanied by Season in the Abyss. Drennan has chosen Illy-oi! as his entrance music. Lawrence Cohen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 9 - 4 - 2, fighting out of New York, Gary Drennan!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cohen swings for the body but Drennan moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cohen.

Drennan throws an overhand right that lands on Cohen's shoulder, as Cohen tries to avoid the shot.
Drennan stuffs the takedown attempt from Cohen. Cohen gets slowly back to his feet.
Good leg kick by Drennan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Cohen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Drennan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lawrence Cohen.
Cohen's corner calls for a 1-2. Cohen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cohen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Drennan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cohen takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Cohen is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
