Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derick Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into the arena with I am The Law blaring out of the sound system. Jordan Silver is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Silver!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver misses with a takedown attempt

and Smith counters with a crisp one two that drops Silver! Smith thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Silver to his feet! Silver is in big trouble!

Silver is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith finds Silver's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Silver flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Smith lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Silver will be OK.
