The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cunha moves in looking to clinch but Hall pushes him off.
Nice sprawl there from Cunha as Hall shoots in.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Cunha!

It looks like Matt Hall has been cut.
Cunha throws a quick inside leg kick.
Cunha is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cunha shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hall but Hall pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cunha looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cunha changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hall tries to avoid it but Cunha manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hall to the ground. Hall escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cunha gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hall trying to control the position but instead, Cunha has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hall into the cage.

Hall jumps guard and drags Cunha to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cunha can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cunha tries to lock up and control but Hall gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cunha really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Matt Hall wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Cunha avoids the head kick by Hall.
Cunha chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hall can pounce on him.
Cunha will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hall is looking to slow Cunha down with leg kicks.
Hall throws a sloppy head kick and Cunha moves out of range easily.

Cunha on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hall tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cunha shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cunha attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Hall stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hall wants it to stay on the feet.

Hall avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cunha shoots in looking for a takedown. Hall tries to sprawl out of it but Cunha keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hall lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

and Hall counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Hall creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cunha's defenses.
Hall has Cunha pressed against the cage, preventing Cunha from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hall tries to score a body lock takedown but Cunha shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Cunha tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hall smiles and moves away.
Hall looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Cunha is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Hall just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Cunha has gone limp and this one is over!
