Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doug Harden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabe Thurgood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Doug Harden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gabe Thurgood!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thurgood falls off balance throwing a combination
and Harden counters with a nice uppercut.
Harden blocks a jab.
Thurgood takes a swing at Harden's ribcage but misses.
Harden checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Harden scores with a nice right hand.
Harden scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Thurgood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Harden.
Thurgood goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Doug Harden has been cut.
Thurgood throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Harden counters with a lovely straight right hand!
No luck for Thurgood with that takedown attempt.
Harden throws a hook but Thurgood blocks it.
Harden looks to score with a jab to the body but Thurgood is just out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thurgood takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Harden fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Thurgood looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Thurgood thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's one minute gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Harden.
Harden just misses with a punch to the body.
Thurgood has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Thurgood there as he acknowledges the shot.
Harden looks to score with a jab to the body but Thurgood is just out of range.
Harden bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Harden fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thurgood manages to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Harden lands an impressive looking overhand right. Thurgood doesn't seem phased though.
Thurgood fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Harden has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Harden takes a swing at Thurgood's ribcage but misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Harden. Thurgood does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thurgood wants to clinch.
Thurgood changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Harden looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Thurgood taking a break here but Harden is having none of it and regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thurgood is pressing down on Harden's thigh, looking to free his foot. Harden is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Thurgood seems content to control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harden avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Thurgood.
Thurgood is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Harden!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thurgood thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Thurgood throwing strikes here but Harden is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Thurgood unloads with some shots from mount but Harden bucks and avoids them well.
Thurgood lands a big shot there that rocks Harden but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Harden is rocked!
Harden knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thurgood on the ground.
Thurgood tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Oh Harden is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Harden keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Thurgood is landing with some decent strikes but Harden is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Thurgood lands a big elbow - Harden is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Harden is forced to tap out!

Gabe Thurgood bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
