Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Veikko Velmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ping Pong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pong with a jab.
Nice takedown defense from Pong. No joy for Velmu on that attempt.
Velmu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pong moves away.
Pong lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Velmu throws a body punch but Pong moves out of range.
Pong connects with a single shot there.

Velmu is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pong's half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Pong wants to stand and escape but Velmu is having none of it.

Pong wants to stand and escape but Velmu is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Veikko Velmu.
Pong throws a nice looking combination but Velmu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Velmu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pong's waist but Pong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Velmu off to one side.
Velmu shoots in and drives through. Pong sprawls well.

Velmu lands a big shot there that rocks Pong but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Velmu cracks Pong with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Veikko Velmu decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
