Abbott comes to the cage accompanied by Killer Cuts - . Erwin has chosen Young Jeezy feat. T.I. - F.A.M.E. as his entrance music. David Abbott could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hale Erwin's chin.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erwin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abbott swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Erwin throws a jab but it's blocked by Abbott.
Erwin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Erwin tries a head kick but it misses.
Erwin throws the left hand but Abbott avoids the punch easily.
Abbott stalks Erwin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Erwin's face. Erwin staggers backwards, shaken.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Erwin.
Erwin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Abbott wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A big left from Abbott misses.
Erwin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Erwin misses with a looping right.
A nice leg kick lands there from Abbott.
Erwin pivots, looking for a leg kick but Abbott is out of range and Erwin settles back down.
Erwin keeps Abbott at a distance using the push kick.
Hale Erwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Erwin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

David Abbott is winning the standup battle so far.
Abbott avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Erwin in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Erwin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
