PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dee Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ettore Masiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pain comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - If you want Blood (You've got it). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dee Pain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ettore Masiero!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain tries to score a power double leg takedown but Masiero sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pain somewhat.
Masiero throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Pain avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Pain fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Masiero to the ground. Pain is now in Masiero's guard.
Masiero trying to keep a closed guard but Pain is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pain trying to control the position from guard on top but Masiero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pain preventing the sweep.
Masiero has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Pain chips away with some ground and pound.
Masiero not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Masiero looking for a sweep. Not yet Masiero, not yet.
Masiero is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pain scoring with punches to the head and body.
Pain trying to control but Masiero is working from the bottom.
Pain missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Masiero tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pain accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pain trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Masiero has his hands on Pain's head, controlling the position.
Masiero avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Masiero looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Pain puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Masiero is trying to maintain the position but Pain is very close to passing his half guard.
Masiero tries to get to full guard but Pain has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pain throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Pain looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Masiero taking some punishment here, with Pain in his half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pain connects with a nice short shot to Masiero's temple.

Masiero is rocked!
Masiero has a hand on Pain's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Pain takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Masiero is still in real trouble! Can Pain finish him?
Pain loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Masiero scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Pain land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Pain stands and salutes the crowd.

During a confident post fight interview, Dee Pain thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
