PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Bonney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Dos Santos told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, William Bonney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, John Dos Santos!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonney shoots in and drives through. Dos Santos sprawls well.

Bonney closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dos Santos quickly recovers to half guard.

Dos Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bonney doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bonney manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dos Santos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dos Santos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Dos Santos is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Bonney is trying to escape and Dos Santos transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Bonney is forced to tap! Nice work there by Dos Santos! Very nice indeed!
