PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and WIlliam Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob has chosen I got my game on as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Malcolm Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, WIlliam Bob!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bob looking to score a takedown here. Evans is defending well but Bob drives through and ends up in Evans's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bob throws a big right hand that misses.
Bob trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Evans is looking to stand back up but Bob counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Evans.
Bob throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bob scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Bob seems to be working for a kimura but Evans defends the submission attempt.
Bob thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bob lands a nice short elbow.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Evans on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Evans knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bob on the ground.

Evans avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bob.
Evans is breathing heavily.
Bob is trying to control the action in half guard but Evans is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bob moves nicely into side control.

Bob tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bob has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bob tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Bob wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Evans, who protects the arm well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bob advances to mount.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bob throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Bob jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Evans is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Evans and Bob has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bob advances nicely into full mount.
Bob can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Evans is looking to escape.
Evans holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bob tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bob looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Bob in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Bob with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bob working for a submission but Evans is keeping him at bay.
The referee warns Evans that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Bob has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

WIlliam Bob dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bob shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Evans defends it nicely.

Bob changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Evans looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The strikes coming from Bob are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Bob is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Evans looks calm but he's in trouble here. Bob gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Evans is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Bob lets go of the hold and Evans can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). WIlliam Bob!
WIlliam Bob made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Im in the Big C the best ORG in LA and maybe the world and I made it. I'm gonna put it down for Let'er Buck Fight Team. Wanna say whats up to my Big Hommie Mat George. Lets put it down son!'.
