The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogan throws a right hand that Barakus ducks under and follows up with a left that Barakus also avoids with ease.
A combination from Rogan does no damage.
Rogan throws a series of strikes that have Barakus backpedaling.


It looks like Kj Barakus has been cut.
Barakus blocks a head kick by Rogan.
Rogan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barakus.
Rogan misses with the combination.
Rogan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rogan scores with a decent looking hook.
Rogan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rogan scores with a one two! Barakus had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rogan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Joe Rogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barakus drops his hands momentarily and Rogan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Rogan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Barakus scores a takedown into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rogan squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Rogan blocking the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barakus with shots to the head and body - Rogan looks very uncomfortable down there.

Barakus jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rogan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rogan and Barakus has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Rogan is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Barakus tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Rogan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Rogan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barakus on the ground.
Barakus lands an elbow.

Barakus is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rogan has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rogan is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Barakus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rogan, who protects the arm well.
Rogan pushes Barakus away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Barakus gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Barakus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rogan, who protects the arm well.
Rogan pushes Barakus away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Barakus gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Barakus is working to tighten is grip on Rogan's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rogan has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Barakus is really squeezing tight and eventually Rogan passes out! Barakus breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
