Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jean Vilain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett thows a body shot but no joy.
Vilain throws a head kick but Bennett moves out of range.
Vilain misses with an attempted mid kick.
Erik Bennett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bennett. Vilain does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bennett fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Bennett goes for an armbar but Vilain turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Vilain.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vilain throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Bennett catches Vilain with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Vilain fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bennett.
Vilain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vilain has closed the distance and engaged Bennett in a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Vilain.
Vilain throws a punch but it's blocked by Bennett.

A frustrated look appears on Bennett's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Vilain takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Bennett lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Bennett ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Bennett lands a nice shot that snaps Vilain's head back.

Bennett connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vilain's hands.

Bennett feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bennett shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vilain's guard.

Bennett drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vilain manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bennett has Vilain in his guard.

Bennett softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Vilain is out cold! Bennett jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
