Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aengus O´Donnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Kobra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O´Donnell comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - Worker's Song. King Kobra acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O´Donnell shoots in for a takedown but Kobra shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
O´Donnell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kobra throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kobra scores with the left hand. O´Donnell knows he should have avoided that one.
O´Donnell shoots in for a takedown but Kobra shows good takedown defense.
Kobra throws an uppercut from half a mile away. O´Donnell sees it coming and avoids it easily.

O´Donnell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
O´Donnell tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kobra smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aengus O´Donnell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kobra avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
O´Donnell has his takedown stuffed
and Kobra counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's one minute gone in the round.
O´Donnell ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
King Kobra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
O´Donnell takes a swing at Kobra's ribcage but misses.
Horrible takedown by O´Donnell or perhaps it was just good defense by Kobra which made him look bad.
O´Donnell doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kobra counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. O´Donnell is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Kobra throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Kobra lands an elbow inside.
Kobra misses with a knee to the head.
O´Donnell takes an elbow to the temple.

O´Donnell decides to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kobra wants to control from the top but O´Donnell keeps moving.
Kobra throws a big elbow that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

O´Donnell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kobra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
O´Donnell wants to sweep but no luck.

Kobra content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because O´Donnell has locked up a guillotine! O´Donnell's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Kobra is holding on here and O´Donnell must be using up a lot of energy. Kobra has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! O´Donnell gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
