Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christian Labonte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Fightmaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Labonte comes to the cage accompanied by The Way Of The Ring. Christian Labonte has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Labonte bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Labonte misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Labonte cracks Fightmaster with a big right hand but Fightmaster just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Labonte has control of an arm but Fightmaster manages to advance to Labonte's back!

Labonte manages to reverse the position and now he's in Fightmaster's guard. Nice work there by Labonte.
Fightmaster manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Fightmaster has control of Labonte's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Labonte regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Labonte tries to reverse the position but Fightmaster maintains control.

Fightmaster passes the guard and advances to mount!
Labonte wants to hold on but Fightmaster pushes him away.
Fightmaster postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Labonte looks a forlorn figure.

Fightmaster is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Labonte has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Fightmaster jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Labonte manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Labonte knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fightmaster on the ground.
Fightmaster in side control lands a decent elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fightmaster looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Christian Labonte just wasn't active enough.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Labonte will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fightmaster takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
