Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Javier Edurado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tatsuyo Hayate!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edurado takes one to the side of the head.


It looks like Javier Edurado has been cut.
A head kick misses from Edurado.
Edurado takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Edurado tries to land a leg kick but Hayate saw it coming and moves away.
Hayate swings for the body but Edurado moves out of range.
Hayate throws a low kick but Edurado avoids it.
Hayate fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tatsuyo Hayate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hayate ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Edurado moves away.
Hayate on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circling - Edurado throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Edurado connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Edurado takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Hayate shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hayate showed some decent athleticism there.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Edurado is trying to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hayate thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Hayate thows a huge punch but Edurado dodges it nicely.
Hayate has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hayate landing shots from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hayate looking for a guillotine from mount but Edurado is having none of it.
Edurado tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hayate throws some wild stikes that Edurado manages to avoid easily.
Hayate thowing shots but they're missing.
Hayate wants to control the pace but Edurado is squirming around nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
BOOM! Hayate connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Javier Edurado's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Javier Edurado's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Tatsuyo Hayate!
An out of breath Tatsuyo Hayate thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
