The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson leaves Casados with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Patterson closes the distance and clinches.
Patterson stops a takedown attempt from Casados.
Casados prevents Patterson from breaking the clinch.
Casados wants to stall.
Patterson scores with a shoulder strike.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Patterson has Casados pressed against the cage, preventing Casados from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Patterson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Casados has him pressed against the cage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ross Patterson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Casados misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jab, jab by Patterson - just one landing.
Casados is rocked!
Casados switches off momentarily and Patterson cracks him with a monster right hand! Casados topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Patterson dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Patterson!
