The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Strong lands an impressive looking overhand right. Stann doesn't seem phased though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Strong turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Strong manages to end up in side control.

Strong cracks Stann with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Stann's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Strong is working for a guillotine from mount but Stann frees his head quite easily.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Strong cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stann throws a strike from the bottom but Strong uses the opportunity to take his back.
Strong slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Jack Strong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
