Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Renken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baker has chosen The Duck Song as his entrance music. Jake Baker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hugh Renken! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Baker! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Baker takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Baker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Baker is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Baker sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Baker won't let Renken get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Renken trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Renken is on top in guard.
Baker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Renken preventing the sweep. Baker has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Renken has passed into side control.
Baker is looking to regain half guard here but Renken keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Baker isn't going anywhere. Renken will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Baker is looking for a sweep. Renken decides to stand back up. Renken just misses with a punch to the body.
Renken throws a series of punches but Baker avoids them all with ease. Renken misses with a series of wild punches.
Renken tries to bum rush Baker with a series of wild strikes but Baker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A head kick misses from Renken. Renken is breathing heavily. Baker shoots in and bounces Renken off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Baker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Baker wants to pass the guard but Renken is keeping the position. Baker stops Renken from standing up. Baker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Baker tries to free his leg and advance position but Renken is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Baker dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Renken misses with a few strikes there.
Baker shoots in and bounces Renken off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Baker controls from within his opponent's guard. Baker with a flurry of punches that miss. Baker passes into half guard. Baker with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jake Baker just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Renken throws a right and a left that Baker avoids nicely. Baker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A combination from Renken does no damage. Baker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Baker in particular looking to stall. Baker tries to pass the half guard into mount. Renken knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Baker slows the pace down in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Baker is looking for a kimura but Renken is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Baker to get the leverage. Baker tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Renken. Baker not doing much here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Baker tries to pass the half guard into mount. Renken knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Baker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Renken tries to clinch but Baker is having none of it. Renken looks to land a combination but Baker avoids it well. Renken misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hugh Renken is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Baker moves into the clinch. Renken is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Baker pulls him back up using the underhooks. Renken wants to get back to striking at distance but Baker won't allow it.
Baker jumps into guard, dragging Renken to the mat.
Renken stopping the sweep attempt from Baker. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baker is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker is controlling Renken's posture. Renken has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Baker is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Baker manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Baker mounts Renken! Really nice guard pass there! Baker sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight! Jake Baker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Baker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
