Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ikeda gets caught flat footed, as Kawasaki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ikeda keeping moving, preventing Kawasaki from controlling successfully.
Kawasaki postures up.
Kawasaki trying to control the position from guard on top but Ikeda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ikeda controls Kawasaki momentarily but Kawasaki frees himself.
Kawasaki tries to free his leg and advance position but Ikeda is retaining full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kawasaki misses with a takedown attempt - Ikeda sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kawasaki scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Ikeda is looking for a sweep. Kawasaki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ikeda knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kawasaki on the ground.
Kawasaki is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ikeda works his way to full guard. Good work.

Ikeda wants to sweep here but Kawasaki controlling him for the moment.

Ikeda is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ikeda gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kawasaki to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kawasaki seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ikeda can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kawasaki controls the pace.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lee Kawasaki wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kawasaki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kawasaki showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kawasaki is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ikeda is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
