Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Shango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ezio Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shango comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - Ain't Gonna Hobo No More. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed misses with a takedown attempt
and Shango counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Creed manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shango manages to get himself to full guard.
Shango wants to stand up but Creed is controlling him.
Creed scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Creed trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Shango wants to stand and escape but Creed is having none of it.

Shango is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Creed is controlling him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shango enables Creed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shango manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Creed is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Creed gets to his feet. Shango looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shango fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Creed shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shango sprawls well. Shango wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Creed gets slowly back to his feet.

Creed rushes Shango and presses him up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Vinny Shango will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Creed just misses with a punch to the body.

Creed shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shango pinned against the cage. Shango gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Creed fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shango sprawls well initially but Creed persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Creed has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Creed lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Shango has hold of Creed's hands but Creed slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Creed looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shango with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Vinny Shango overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Creed is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Shango is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Shango is wriggling around trying to escape.
Shango is working hard here to advance position.
Shango's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Shango tries to reverse the position but Creed maintains control.
Creed lands a nice shot to the head.

Creed throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shango's waist but Shango gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Creed off to one side.
Ezio Creed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Creed shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shango as he avoids it easily.
Creed closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Shango goes for a takedown attempt but Creed pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Shango is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Creed pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Shango is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Creed can't fight it off and eventually Shango manages to take the fight to the floor. Creed looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
