Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fox has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kid throws a head punch that misses.

Fox decides to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kid is in close to Fox's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Fox looking for a guillotine here but Kid defends easily.
Fox looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Fox seems keen to control Kid's posture.

Billy Kid has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Kid tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Fox manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fox throws a series of punches but Kid avoids them all with ease.

Fox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kid misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fox shoots in looking for a takedown. Kid tries to sprawl out of it but Fox keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kid manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Billy Kid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kid is in a horrible position here. Fox smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Kid sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kid wants to control but Fox is keeping busy.

Fox tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kid controls his leg.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Fox ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kid moves away.
Fox avoids the head kick by Kid.
Kid tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fox paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kid closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fox circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fox drives through with a takedown into Kid's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fox chips away with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's time! Kid's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Fox is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kid sees it coming and defends easily.
Fox prevents Kid from improving his position.

Fox looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Fox stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kid to get to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kid shoots for a double leg takedown but Fox sprawls well. He's pushed Kid's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fox manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kid on his heels. He'll look to pass Kid's guard now, I'm sure.

We're going to have a standup here because Billy Kid wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Fox throws a chopping leg kick but Kid manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Fox closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kid quickly recovers to half guard.
Kid is looking for a sweep. Fox is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fox passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kid!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kid tries to lock up and control but Fox gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Steve Fox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Fox has his foot on Kid's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kid works his way back into a safe position though.

Fox feints and as Kid raises his hands in defense, Fox changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kid escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fox gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fox gets to his feet - Kid follows without any prompting.

Kid throws an overhand right that lands on Fox's shoulder, as Fox tries to avoid the shot.
Kid closes the distance and clinches up with Fox, looking for a takedown. Kid pushes Fox against the cage but Fox circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fox bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Billy Kid has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Steve Fox is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Fox has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
