The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
thado tries to clinch but Gabe is having none of it.
Gabe tries to clinch up but thado circles away and keeps his distance.

and Gabe counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
thado gets underhooks to prevent Gabe's takedown attempt.
Gabe goes for a takedown in the clinch but thado prevents it.
thado wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Gabe throws an elbow but it misses.
Gabe fails to pull guard.

thado is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Gabe throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but thado blocks it with crossed arms.

thado lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Zewkey Gabe has been cut.

thado breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
thado closes the distance but Gabe moves to the side

and Gabe counters with a single leg into guard. thado didn't expect that.
Gabe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gabe is breathing heavily.

Gabe lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Gabe drops back looking for a leg! thado is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and thado manages to kick Gabe off! Gabe jumps back into thado's guard.
thado throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
thado thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
thado is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
thado rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gabe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
thado misses with a jab, cross combination.
thado fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

thado gets caught flat footed, as Gabe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
thado manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Gabe regains half guard.

Gabe is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but thado pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
thado thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
thado missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
thado throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Gabe could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gabe manages to get to full guard.
thado is looking to advance position but Gabe has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Gabe has isolated one of thado's arms. thado looking to fight him off but Gabe twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
