Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zajtsev closes the distance but Sotto moves to the side
enabling Sotto to counter with a crisp jab.
Zajtsev ducks under a wild hook from Sotto.
Zajtsev looking to score a takedown here. Sotto is defending well but Zajtsev drives through and ends up in Sotto's guard.
Zajtsev is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Zajtsev stands up and waves to Sotto to follow him.
Zajtsev clinches with his opponent.
Sotto misses with a body punch.
Zajtsev tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Zajtsev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Zajtsev avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sotto digs a good body shot into Zajtsev's ribs.
Sotto swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sotto misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Zajtsev is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sotto.
Zajtsev throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Zajtsev tries for a takedown but Sotto circles away easily
and Sotto counters with a left to the body.
A punch combination from Sotto misses.
Sotto avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Zajtsev shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vasilij Zajtsev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sotto lands a jab-cross combination.
Sotto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sotto wants it to stay on the feet.
Zajtsev with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sotto to score with a decent uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sotto lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Vic Sotto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sotto cracks Zajtsev with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Zajtsev falls to his knees and Sotto doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
