PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Takeru Toyokawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karen Darabedyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darabedyan has chosen KDB Highlights as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darabedyan misses with the combination.

Darabedyan tries to bum rush Toyokawa with a series of wild strikes but Toyokawa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Toyokawa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Darabedyan was well out of range. Poor timing from Toyokawa.

and Toyokawa makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Darabedyan has closed the distance and engaged Toyokawa in a clinch.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Toyokawa.
A frustrated look appears on Darabedyan's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Darabedyan wants to break the clinch but can't.
Toyokawa tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Toyokawa bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Darabedyan's head.
Darabedyan works the jab nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Darabedyan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
