Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose De Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Zabuza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Souza is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Jose De Souza is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Zabuza.
De Souza is breathing heavily.
Zabuza misses with a double jab
and De Souza counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Zabuza pushes De Souza off looking to stand but De Souza dives back in and keeps control.
Zabuza kicks De Souza off and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zabuza lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Zabuza.
Zabuza cracks De Souza with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Zabuza works over De Souza's head and body with a nice combination.
Zabuza lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Zabuza scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Zabuza misses with a few strikes there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zabuza lands with a nice combination. De Souza backs away looking to recover.
Zabuza throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on De Souza's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Zabuza dives in looking to finish as De Souza flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Zabuza's strikes! Zabuza is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! De Souza's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but De Souza was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricky Zabuza!
